The Terroirs of Spain “Barrel Aged” Ribera del Duero 2015 saw 10 months in oak barrels. It is from the town of Gumiel del Mercado the northern, high altitude part of the appellation, which adds structure and freshness, making for full-bodied, vibrant and very drinkable wines.
Tasting Note: The nose is packed with cherry and plum flavors with soft notes of violet and vanilla. The palate is ample and juicy with a core of ripe red and black cherry flavors with touches of of saddle leather and spice. Good acidity adds harmony and helps it build on the mid-palate, then flow into a vibrant, full-bodied finish. Rich, smooth and very satisfying.
Terroirs of Spain wines are all about “Distinctive Lands, Distinctive Flavors”. Each wine is an expression of an exciting winemaking region in Spain, each with its own traditional grapes and winemaking style. Every Terroirs of Spain wine reflects the best of what the region can do, and even better than that, does so at an affordable price. Terroirs of Spain is real wine, for everyday drinking.
